Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge ~ New Beginnings

Hello fellow Crafters,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoying the few last days in this year! We all, here in Las Vegas, had a great Christmas especially my boys. Some family came to town and more to come in in the next few days. But onto the post today.... It is Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Blog time! Our sponsor for this challenge is Milk Coffee. The theme is ~ New Beginnings. The DT was given four amazing digi stamps to choose from.

MilkCoffee

And here is my card that I made: My pick was Tiffany in Flowery Bridal Gown.
Und hier ist meine Karte: Ich habe mir Tiffany in Flowery Bridal Gown ausgesucht.

I know the colors are a bit dark for a typical Bridal Gown... and I wanted it much lighter. But I have to say I do like the way it turned out. And in my defense I have seen more and more gray or other colored bridal gowns.

I used my Copic Markers to color her up and here is the list of colors:

Skin/ Haut: E000, E00, E11, E21
Dress/ Kleid: W00, W01, W03, W05, W07
Roses, Bows/Rosen,Schleifen: R81, R83, R85, R89
Greens/ Blaetter: YG93, YG95, YG97
Hair/ Haare: Y32, E33, E35
Ground/ Boden: E31, E33, E35

Here are a few more pictures how the card came together...

The sentiment and the heart that I used are both from Whimsy Stamps and then cut out with their matching dies. Flowers are from Wild Orchard and the green twigs are from a punch. All embellies are from my stash and the paper is new. It is by Anna Griffin.

Here are the challenges that I would like to enter this card for:

The Paper Shelter: Anything Goes
The Stamping Chef: Anything Goes

When I signed up for this hop I had an opportunity to color this beautiful stamp by Artist Rosanna Zuppardo. The stamp is called Santa & Reindeer, it is available here at Treasured Times Rubber Stamps and Scrapbooking. Due to the "Old" feel of the stamp I wanted to do something different and created the dark background. I was trying to get the early night kind of feel.

And here a few more pictures how the card was created.

Cookies for Santa Blog Hop

Hello fellow Crafters,

Welcome to the Cookies for Santa Blog Hop! If you are coming from Alicia, then you are in the right spot. If you happen to come by my blog and would like to join us in this fun Blog Hop, please start at Lisa's Blog here. All of us are show casing a cookie recipe for all of you. My most favorite cookie of all times are Molasses Cookies, yum!!!! So I recruited some helpers, Jon and Jarett, to make a batch of these delicious treats.

Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1cup sugar
1 cup molasses
2 eggs
2/3 cup of sour milk (1cup milk+ 1tlsp vinegar)
2tsp baking soda
1tsp ginger
1tsp cinnomon
5 cups flour (+/-)
Sugar for rolling is optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, molasses and eggs until well combined. Add sour milk, soda and spices. Gradually add flour one cup at a time. Mix until stiff dough forms. After mixing chill in refrigerator for 1-2 hours or even overnight. Then either roll out the dough for cut out cookies, or drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. If you like a bit of sugar around the cookies, then take your spoonfuls roll them into a ball then into a container with sugar.  Bake each batch for 12-15 minutes. I like my cookies chewy so I usually have them in about 13 minutes.

Here are some pictures of my helpers and their hard work getting these cookies ready. We rolled the cookies in red and green sugar before baking. They were a big hit and gone in a few days. I hope you will give them a try.

And now it is time to check out the next recipe with Denise. In case you might get lost here is the full list and order of out hop:

9. Denise ~ www.craftconfectionery.com

I had so much fun baking the cookies with my boys. I treasure the times that I can spent with them in the kitchen and get them involved. They do seem to like it as well. The little one, Jarett, likes the testing and licking of the beaters the best. The bigger one, Jon, just enjoys the part of making the dough. He is not a big sweet eater. We wish all of you lots of fun baking up some new cookie recipes for Santa.
Until soon,
Nadja, Jon and Jarett

Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge~ Happy Holidays

Hello fellow Crafters,

It seems like the time is just flying by and it won't slow down a bit!!! The boys are anxiously awaiting Christmas and asking me everyday if Santa is coming by the house. My post today is for Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Blog. And we are having a fun challenge for everyone ~ Happy Holidays! Our sponsor for this challenge is Eureka. The stamp that I chose is called Singing Moose. Oh I had such fun coloring this image up.

Unser Thema ist was fuer Alle ~ Happy Holidays!

And here is my card! It turned out so nice. It took a bit of time to punch out all the leaves, but it was worth it.

The image was colored up with my Copic Markers. And here is the list:

Moose/Elch: E13, E15, E18, C7, E41, E43, E47, E49, R20, B04
Holly/ Blatter: G21, G94, G99, R46, R59

As I mentioned earlier that the leaves were punched out. I used two shades of green to give the wreath a bit more depth. The image was cut out with a circle Spellbinder. In order to get the antlers out of the cut I had to trace the Spellbinder Die around the image where I wanted it and then use scissors to cut along the antlers to be able to pull them on top of the die before I ran the picture through my machine. When the antlers are on top they will not be cut off! Then I used the next larger circle die and cut out the red circle. The red circle was also used as the base for the wreath. I started to layer the cut out leaves around. The sentiment was printed from my computer and then I used another Spellbinder Die Fancy Framed Tags Two to cut it out. The rest came together fast and I added some Stickles and a red velvet bow and it was done!

I want to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hanna and Friends: Weihnachten
Crafty Ribbon Challenge: Anything Goes with Ribbon
Creative Knockouts: 'Tis the Season
Cute Card Thursday: Christmas catch up
Meljiens Design Team: Holly Berries use Green and Red
Paper Crafting Journey: It's Christmas Time
Sassy Studio Design: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hope you enjoyed your stay. And now it is time for you to jump into the fun with us and create a wonderful card. Can't wait to see what you have created!

Ich bin gespannt was Ihr alles basteln werdet. Viel Spass!

Until soon, Bis Bald

Let It Snow Blog Hop

Hello fellow Crafters,

Do we have a treat for you this day!! Grab yourself a cup of Hot Coco, Sit back and have some fun hopping to all the amazing projects that we have in store for you today! Maybe even listen to some Christmas music. It is bitter (at least for us here in Las Vegas since we are spoiled with temperatures) cold and we just might get some snow! The boys are hoping that this will happen.

Alright are you ready to get started???  If you just came by and not from Alicia ~ http://goldengoddessdesigns.blogspot.com/ then start here at  Lisa ~ http://honeybearzdesigns2011.blogspot.com/
Lisa is the first stop of our Blog Hop. If you came from Alicia you are in the right order and lets move on....

Here is my project that I have created for this hop:

Oh this was such a fun to create! The image is just so adorable! The name of the digi is James and Sled by artist Erica Nicomedi. You can find the digi or clear stamp here. Everything that I used for this card came from my stash. I used my Copics to color up the image. The die is from Spellbinder Snowflakes Pendant. I added glue and sparkles to the white snowflakes and left the blue without. The bow was made with the Bow-it-All. Don't know what I would do without this gadget anymore, lol. Oh I forgot to mention the circle, that is made of a string of Garland that I bought at Michaels. I cut a section and then I just make a circle and use hot glue to adhere to the paper. So simple but with so much impact.  Lets take a look at some more pictures how this card came about...

Your next stop is Carla ~ http://racincrafts.blogspot.com/
